UMS: The 2011 Underground Music Showcase

Today, July 21, marks the first night of the 11th annual Underground Music Showcase. From 6 p.m. tonight until around 1 a.m. Monday morning, over 300 performances will take place in one neighborhood of South Denver. Are you ready?

Headliners include Sage Francis, Hellogoodbye, The Black Heart Precession, Colourmusic  and hundreds of local bands from Denver’s thriving music scene.

We’ve mentioned Illegal Pete’s as a great place to eat in Denver on more than one occasion - even as a romantic dinner spot, once. Recently, I ran into our Ricardo Baca checking out The Hollyfelds at the LoDo Illegal Pete’s. Don’t worry, you can catch them and over 300 other bands all over Denver this July at the Underground Music Showcase.
