Kids’ high CSAP scores didn’t stick after leaving Denver school
An analysis of standardized test scores from a Denver elementary school under investigation for cheating found most students’ scores plummeted after they graduated from Beach Court Elementary. 
The high-performing northwest Denver school is being investigated by the state, along with Hallett Fundamental Academy, a magnet elementary school, for suspected cheating on state assessments after a Denver Public Schools probe that found questionable results.

School-cheating probe: Strides led to bonus money
The principal at one of two Denver elementary schools being investigated for cheating on standardized tests was paid at least $32,000 in bonuses as a reward for his students’ high achievement between 2008 and 2011. But, after security procedures for the test were changed, the school saw a dramatic drop this year in third-grade reading scores, the only scores released by the state so far.
