Photo Slideshow: For nearly 30 years, the shuttle program has launched critical missions, including the Hubble Space Telescope and international space station Alpha. In that time, two tragic events — the Challenger’s explosion during launch and the Columbia’s disintegration during re-entry — delayed the program. In honor of the last shuttle mission launching today, The Denver Post looks back at 30 years of spaceflight.
